Common questions about booking, planning, and what to expect working with a travel advisor.
Do I really need a travel advisor? Can't I just book everything myself online?
You can, and plenty of people do. But if you've ever spent a weekend with fifteen browser tabs open trying to figure out which side of the ship to book or whether you need a land tour before or after your cruise, you already know the problem isn't information. It's too much information with no one to tell you which parts actually matter for your trip. I narrow it down to what fits you and build the whole thing, cruise, hotels, flights, and land portion, as one connected itinerary instead of a stack of separate bookings.
What's the difference between booking directly with a cruise line and booking through you?
The price is generally the same. What's different is who is doing the work and who has your back if something changes. I handle the cabin selection, the timing, the pre and post night stays, and the land tour logistics, and if a sailing gets adjusted or a flight gets delayed, you have a person to call instead of a hold queue.
Do you only work with couples, or do you help families too?
I work with professional couples planning the trip they've been putting off for years, and I work with families, including multi-generational groups, who want real adventure travel and time in nature together. I also work with retirees who are ready to travel but don't want to piece it together themselves.
How far in advance should I start planning?
For Antarctica, twelve to eighteen months out is ideal since expedition ship space is limited. If your travel window is closer than that, reach out anyway. I can often still find good options. If you are looking for a holiday or a specific type of cabin on a sailing, I suggest reaching out 2-3 years before your trip to get it booked the day deposits can be made on the sailing.
